Musical Minis (Ages 4-5)

This unique class is just for our littlest triple threats! Students will learn the fundamentals of dance, voice, and acting all in one class, culminating a low stress final performance. Get ready for our big kid classes while building your musical theatre community. We hope our Musical Minis will forge friendships in these classes that will last throughout their arts education. Musical Minis will perform in our Winter Showcase at the end of the semester. Can’t make the performance? No problem! There will still be plenty of value in singing and dancing with us every Saturday.

Tuition: $400.00, or $100/month for four months

Sing & Dance: DESCENDANTS (Ages 6-9)

Come broaden your musical theatre repertoire in a welcoming group context. This class will give equal attention to singing and dancing. Students will sing and dance in every class! This semester, we’ve decided to theme our class content to a particular show: Descendants! This is a great place to start if your kiddo is theatre-curious, but doesn’t want the commitment of a musical. We might sing through “Ways To Be Wicked”, warm up to “Chillin’ Like A Villain”, and then choose a Descendants song to perform in our Winter Showcase. Song And Dance students will perform in our Spring Showcase at the end of the semester. Can’t make the performance? No problem. We still want you to sing and dance with us!

Tuition: $400.00, or $100/month for four months

Beginner Acting & Improv (Ages 6-9)

In this class, students will learn to lose their inhibitions on stage! We will focus heavily on acting and improv games and exercises to focus on becoming somebody else while having LOTS of fun. Students can expect to learn lots of new theatre games and improv activities to start building their acting skills, as well as their confidence. Rather than participate in our Winter Showcase, our actors will participate in a variety show at Big Couch Improv Theatre at the end of the semester!

Tuition: $400, or $100/month for four months

Alice In Wonderland: The Musical (Ages 6-10)

This is what it’s all about…musicals! Come participate in a fully staged musical just for Broadway Babies. We will hold auditions on the first day of classes, cast the show during the week, and our second day of class will be the start of our rehearsal process! Each “class” is a rehearsal. We will perform our show at the end of the semester. Attendance is very important, since everyone has an important role to play in making our show great.

Due to high demand, we will have FIVE CASTS of our show! The PURPLE cast meets on Mondays, the YELLOW cast meets on Tuesdays, the BLUE cast meets on Wednesdays, and the GREEN cast on Fridays. These five groups will function totally separately, and have separate performances.

Tuition: $450.00, or $112.50/month for four months

Sing & Dance: HAMILTON (Ages 10-13)

This double whammy class focuses equal parts on voice and dance in the context of contemporary musical theatre. As much as we all love Hamilton, it’s not an appropriate choice for one of our mainstage musicals. So, we thought it would be a great idea to theme our Song & Dance class to it! We may stage scenes with dialogue, assign solos, and of course, sing and dance as a group. This class can serve as a great place to start for the musical theatre curious, a nice supplement for a seasoned performer’s weekly rotation, or a fun place for a Hamilton fan to nerd out and have fun. We will choose a Hamilton medley to polish and perform for our Winter Showcase. Can’t make the performance? No problem. We still want you to sing and dance with us!

**Hamilton contains mature content, including swear words. We will keep our class content squeaky clean, but be advised that if students look up show materials on their own, they may encounter mature themes.**

Tuition: $400.00, or $100/month for four months

Dungeons & Dragons For Actors and Improvisers (Ages 9-13)

After the wild response to our D&D Camp this summer, we have decided to extend it into a 12 week campaign for the fall semester! Expect lots of character development, props, costumes, role playing, and scenarios ripe for acting and improvisation. One of our acting teachers will serve as Dungeon Master, and customize a campaign that culminates in a final battle. If you love D&D and are curious about acting, give this class a try!

Tuition: $450.00, or $112.50/month for four months

Sketch Comedy (Ages 10-13)

Think of Sketch Comedy as Improv with a script. Following the traditions of Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, and the Second City, students will learn how to write and perform in their own sketches! The beauty of sketch comedy is that it can include any element of theatre. Do we have a stellar singer in the group? Let’s add a musical number! Do we have someone interested in magic? Add a magician character to the sketch! Circus performers? Hang them from the ceiling on aerial silks! Just kidding about that last one…unless someone knows how to do that? Rather than participate in our Winter Showcase, our sketch performers will participate in a comedy variety show at Big Couch Improv Theatre at the end of the semester! Can’t make the performance? No problem, you’ll still get all the value of learning how to sketch just by showing up week to week.

Tuition: $450.00, or $112.50/month for four months

Acting On Stage (Ages 9-12)

This class will focus solely on acting for the stage, no singing or dancing at all. We will work on partner scenes, group scenes, and monologues, learning the basics of how to create unique characters, relationships, objectives, and settings. This class is also offered right before rehearsals for our fall musical, so it’s a great chance to double up! Our actors are invited to perform their scenes in our Winter Showcase at the end of the semester. Can’t make the performance? No problem. We still want you to act with us!

Tuition: $400, or $100/month for four months

Strictly Improv (Ages 10-13)

This class is all improv, all the time! Students will learn a variety of techniques and principles unique to improv, and each class is sure to end in hilarity. Rather than participate in our Winter Showcase, our sketch performers will participate in a comedy variety show at Big Couch Improv Theatre at the end of the semester! Can’t make the performance? No problem! You will still get lots of value just from showing up to improvise with us every Saturday.

Tuition: $400, or $100/month for four months

Mean Girls The Musical (Ages 11-14)

This is what it’s all about…musicals! Come participate in a fully staged musical just for Broadway Bound kids. Each weekly “class” is a rehearsal, and we will perform our show at the end of the semester. Attendance is very important, since everyone has an important role to play in making our show great.

**PLEASE NOTE** We will ask our actors to attend 2 longer Saturday rehearsals. These dates will be sent out in early September.

Tuition: $450.00, or $112.50/month for four months
