Shrek The Musical: Ages 6-10 **WAITLIST ONLY EXCEPT PURPLE CAST**

This is what it’s all about…musicals! Come participate in a fully staged musical with age matched peers. Auditions will be held via video submissions so that we can cast the show before our first rehearsal. The first day of class will be the start of our rehearsal process! Each “class” is a rehearsal, and we will perform our show at the end of the semester. Attendance is very important, since everyone has an important role to play in making our show great.

Due to high demand, we will have FOUR CASTS of our show! Three casts will meet at our Lakeview location: the YELLOW cast on Tuesdays, the BLUE cast on Wednesdays, and the GREEN cast on Fridays. The RED cast will meet on Thursdays at the Uptown JCC. These four groups will function totally separately, and have separate performances.

**Due to incredibly high demand, we are hoping to add a second Uptown cast, the PURPLE cast, on Monday afternoons. We are currently waiting on approval, and will update this schedue page ASAP**

Tuition: $450.00, or $112.50/month for four months

Sing & Dance: SIX! (Ages 9-12)

This double whammy class focuses equal parts on voice and dance in the context of contemporary musical theatre. This semester, we have chosen to theme our class to a particular show: Six! We may stage scenes with dialogue, assign solos, and of course, sing and dance as a group. This class can serve as a great place to start for the musical theatre curious, a nice supplement for a seasoned performer’s weekly rotation, or a fun place for a Six fan to just let loose and have fun. We will choose a Six song to polish and perform for our Spring Showcase. Can’t make the performance? No problem. We still want you to sing and dance with us!

**Six contains some mature content. We will keep our class content squeaky clean, but be advised that if students look up show materials on their own, they may encounter mature themes.**

Tuition: $400, or $100/month for four months

Sketch Comedy (Ages 10-14)

Think of Sketch Comedy as Improv with a script. Following the traditions of Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, and the Second City, students will learn how to write and perform in their own sketches! The beauty of sketch comedy is that it can include any element of theatre. Do we have a stellar singer in the group? Let’s add a musical number! Do we have someone interested in magic? Add a magician character to the sketch! Circus performers? Hang them from the ceiling on aerial silks! Just kidding about that last one…unless someone knows how to do that? Rather than participate in our Spring Showcase, our sketch performers will participate in a comedy variety show at Big Couch Improv Theatre at the end of the semester! Can’t make the performance? No problem, you’ll still get all the value of learning how to sketch just by showing up week to week.

Tuition: $400, or $100/month for four months
